Prolific drum & bass producer Distrax unveils his latest and most ambitious project yet with the release of the massive 'Dis Cancer Can Do One (The Charity Trax Album)'. Gathering together seventeen massive tracks generously donated by the cream of the underground D&B and breakbeat scenes in order to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Agendaplex opens up the album to the energetic, upfront sounds of the cheeky, Dave Gahn vocal sampling 'These Are' before we are bombarded with some serious neuro-synth riffage by Alex Dex on his 'Heat Raze' track. Next we are taken into darker territory with K@oSinFusion's ominously sinister, sci-fi themed 'Dark Matter' closely followed by Distrax's very own growling bass-monster, 'High Up In The Clouds'.

Carbone delivers the punishingly frantic D&B breaks meets near gabba hardcore fusion that is '35HTZ', while Madlogik strips things back a touch with his minimal, yet equally frantic stepper, 'Sirens'. 'Jungle Raver' by Warminstrel sees him combine a series of rugged breaks and rude bass throbs with electrifying synth melodies while the DJ Ruzt combines lush, emotive pads with stepping breaks on the powerful 'The Difference'.

DJ Suspense ushers in a change in pace with 'Say I Tried' which drops some seriously smooth and jazzy, liquid vibes closely followed by Exit Point's 'Everybody's Coming On Strong', a manic blend of oldskool-rave meets ruffneck, jungle midsection. Up next, the Gentleman Bastard brings us his hauntingly atmospheric, yet wonderfully restrained take on dark jungle with 'Siren Of Huron' which is soon joined by The Outsida's clinical, yet vertigo inducing, warped synth driven neuro-stepper 'Impassion'.

The menacing neuro sounds continue with Decibel Lecter's female vocal flavoured rallying call to all D&B headz, 'To The Masses' while Redshift switches up the styles once more with his breakneck speed roller 'Nice One'. Pedro Jenko introduces us to his piano led epic 'Haunted Keys' while DJ Ruzt returns once more, this time with a massively uplifting, buzz-saw bassline driven stepper entitled 'Bass Head'.

For the final track Module Citizen departs from the previous drum & bass and jungle themes that carried the album to drop some upbeat, groovesome big beat flavas on 'Situation Normal (All Funked Up)' to create a fitting positive conclusion to a magnificent collection of tunes. Anyone who shares a love for all sub-genres of hi-octane breakbeat based music will have their musical desires fulfilled with 'Dis Cancer Can Do One (The Charity Trax Album)'.
